Emma is a self-taught illustrator who draws inspiration from simplicity in design, finding beauty in the little things, and exploring quaint + unique local spaces. Based in the Pacific Northwest, she is naturally inspired by the beauty of nature and aspires to capture plants + animals just as they would flourish in the wild, but with a twist of whimsy. Her love of vintage prints influence her style, as do the elegant stylings of floral arrangements & found trinkets.
When working on paper, she likes to add an element of intricately cut paper to to give her original drawings a delicate, life-like quality. These drawings are either styled onto hand-made or vintage papers, or used in various designs and illustrations. Given her love for color, as well as pen + ink drawings, both styles show up often in Emma's work.
